Bonza King of Rouges

Overview

King was born in 2003 and is a 16.3hh grey gelding. King competed up to intermediate level with Matt Ryan before being bought by Angela Scott and Jenny Waaler for Paul to campaign. King has had many successes at 3* Including a 2nd place at Tattersalls Horse Trials. He competed successfully at 4*level to include 3rd at Blair in 2016 and 4th at Strezgom CCI3* in Poland in 2016. Paul and King have also competed Burghley and Badminton. King became an Arena Eventing specialist and WON the Wickstead Eventers derby twice, in 2017 and 2018, in 2019 King came 2nd. King and Paul enjoyed a few runs in 2020 before Paul sadly fell off him out hacking and sustained a head injury. Paul decided on recovery that he would not ride again and it was decided by King's owner Angela Scott that King should be given to Maddie as a school master. Maddie and King have enjoyed getting to know each other. They have already had a few successes arena eventing and showjumping.
